What Is Love...?

Do you ever wonder what love really is? How do you measure it? Well... His something I found that I think is very profound, and for me it couldn't have drove it home better.

This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers. If anyone has material possessions and sees his brother in need but has no pity on him, how can the love of God be in him? Dear children, let us not love with words or tongue but with actions and in truth. 1 John 3: 16-18

TRUST IN THE LORD

Num 23:19 "God is not a man that He should lie. Has He said, and will He not do it?"

You may not be able to trust... Friends, family, neighbors, coworkers, etc. or even yourself. But one thing I know that's sure you can trust in God. He says he watches over his promises so that they may be fulfilled to whoever tries, believes and trusts them. so I say, you've tried the rest now try the best! Put God to the test... In times like these we need hope, help, and faith in something sure, and I tell you, God is faithful never wavering, put your hopes in him he will not let you down. And if help is what you need whether it be financial, emotional, physical, mental etc. this is what you want to do... Locate a Bible, read it beginning with the New Testament, locate God's promises to you to us all. Pray! reminding him of those promises and see if he will not fulfill them. God is good...! But you will never know if you don't try him. :-) Please comment back with your results and even thoughts.

IT'S IN THE VALLEY THAT I GROW...

Sometimes life seems hard to bear full of sorrow trouble and woe. It's then I have to remember that it's in the Valley that I grow.
If I always stayed on the mountaintop and never experienced pain, I would never appreciate God's love and would be living in vain.
I have so much to learn and my growth is very slow sometimes I need the mountain tops but it's in the Valley that I grow.
I do not always understand why things happen as they do but I am very sure of one thing, my Lord will see me through.
My little valleys are nothing when I picture Christ on the cross he went through the valley of death his victory was Satan's loss.
Forgive me Lord for complaining when I'm feeling so very low. Just give me a gentle reminder that it's in the Valley's I grow.
Continue to strengthen me Lord, and use my life each day to share your love with others and help them find their way.
Thank you for valleys Lord, for this one thing I know the mountain tops are glorious but it's in the Valley that I grow.
